Thank you for your consideration. Though I am not a golfer, I strongly support the proposal to build a golf course and athletic fields at the Bayfront park. My daughter and son play soccer(AYSO), baseball(Little league) as well as Pop Warner Football. Pop Warner Football excels in the area of teaching resptect, self esteem, persistence and teamwork. It also demands that each player acheive and maintain good grades. I have coached my kids in soccer and baseball and while I have great respect for the AYSO and Little League programs, the Pop Warner program is outstanding. The Menlo Atherton Vikings Pop Warner Football program has gratefully shared the use of the Menlo Atherton High School Football field with the high school team. It can get pretty crowded. When the high school player is practicing next to one of our Tiny Mites (5-7 years old) the size differential can be amusing but also potentially dangerous. The neighbors also object to the use of amplification during foot
ball games. Having a football field as well as soccer and baseball diamonds at the Bayfront park would be an outstanding use of that space.
Thanks again for your consideration.
