The Conference
The annual International Conference on Stormwater and Urban Water
Systems Modeling is a forum for professionals from across North America
and overseas to exchange ideas and experience on current practices and
emerging technologies. This forum is for engineers, scientists, modelers
and administrators involved in water pollution control and water systems
design and analysis. Topics include hydrology, hydraulics, water quality
and receiving waters, from precipitation processes, runoff, pollutant
build-up, washoff, surcharging pipe networks, and water distribution
systems, to pollutant removal and impacts on aquatic ecosystems.
This is the 14th in the current series of annual Toronto conferences. It
is also effectively the 38th SWMM Users Group Meeting, and the 25th to
be held in Canada. The title this year reflects a slightly broader
interest, including water distribution systems. The atmosphere is
relaxed. Presentations are of a high standard. Attendance is large and
discussion lively because there are no parallel sessions. And, by
accepting papers up to the last three weeks before the event, a
spontaneity is achieved which gives this conference special character.

PCSWMM & SWMM Workshops
Become proficient with two major modeling software packages that will
enhance your stormwater drainage and sanitary system modeling and
design. In three days of hands-on workshops, you can learn the US EPA
Stormwater Management Model (SWMM)
<http://www.clic2mail.com/eblink.cfm?emailID=42065&Link=348155> , and
the new PCSWMM 2005

graphical decision support system. Attend any or all of these workshops
to gain expertise in this next generation of modeling software tools,
and evaluate how this scaleable, integrated and open tool set can
improve your current modeling work.
Discover the critical benefits learned each day
The workshops form a coherent series and the serious participant should
plan on attending the full three-day course. However, the potential or
new stormwater or sanitary modeler may want only the general SWMM
overview of Day 1, or the full SWMM training of Days 1 and 2; and
experienced SWMM users may simply choose the more advanced SWMM training
of Day 2 and/or the in-depth PCSWMM and GIS integration coverage of Day
3. It is your choice.
