Fwd: Californians For High Speed Rail

Yes, re-run proves definite misstatement by MP mayor on height of high speed train and it is the only alternative offered.

Why pay for a lobbyist when there are dozens of organizations, such as above, with local residents as watchdogs?

The status of assembly and senate bills can be followed on the web at a glance and letters or comments can be sent certified to ensure receipt or attention. Surely expensive paid staff can handle that, or continue with volunteers.

Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Atherton are still trying to stop the train by listening to Gary Patton, speaking at the Peninsula Consortium meeting Friday, March 19, Menlo Park Council Chambers at 8:15 a.m.

Are they really joining in the lawsuits of the East Bay and paying their lobbyist to get the high speed train switched to Altamont? It would still come through MP.

Definite need for legal action to stop the cities from wasting money to make paid lobbyists and lawyers rich.
