Endorsement of Charles Catalano for Visioning Committee

Dear Council Members Robinson, Cline, Fergusson, Cohen & Boyle,

Due to many different circumstances, I'm stepping off the Oversight and Outreach committee for phase II of the visioning process. I do plan to stay as involved in the process as possible, and I will be part of the Planning Commission subcommittee for phase II. There was great interest in this committee for phase I and hope that is the case for phase II.
I would like to help other interested residents become committee members and I'm writing to you today to tell you about one applicant in particular.

Charles Catalano is a resident of Suburban Park that you might have met during Phase I of the visioning process, if not before. He has been involved from the outset and attended the workshops, lectures series and oversight & outreach committee meetings through phase I. He would not be starting as an uninformed resident, but rather as someone who is as "up to speed" as any current committee member. He was highly interested in the process and being part of it as an engaged community member.

I believe he would be a great asset to the committee from both his professional knowledge as well as his community outreach abilities due to being involved in youth sports, local schools, and active in our neighborhood. He would also be a logical geographic replacement for me as a resident of the same neighborhood. He's a thoughtful individual and would add a new perspective that I believe will help move the process forward in a positive direction.

I hope you will highly consider Charles Catalano for Visioning phase II committee membership.

Best Regards,

Katie Ferrick Received on Fri Jan 16 2009 - 14:21:28 PST
