Dear Council Members, please postpone your SEIU negotiations. There is a reason why the SEIU schedule labor negotiations for a new Council on its first night out. It is the night on which council members are most pliant and most overwhelmed.
There is a reason why 72% of the voters supported Measure L. They said, in the only legal way possible, to reduce employee costs. There is no reason why Council cannot convene and postpone the negotiation, asking:
