Kelly Furgesson Brown Act Violation

Dear Honorable Council Members,

I respectively submit a request that the special meeting that has been so hastily scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at a time when many citizens will not be available to attend for public comment be postponed to Tuesday night, December 14th during a regular council session.

The Brown Act violation should be aired fully and publicly and not be swept under the rug at a special meeting on a Friday afternoon. The spirit of the Brown Act continues to be an issue with Councilmember Fergusson and this latest situation is very serious and the residents of Menlo Park should have more time to understand what has taken place and more time to plan to attend a meeting on this topic.

I do not understand why there is a rush to re-do the vote. The wheels of city government move very slowly with respect to just about everything else. What's the rush on this matter?

Sincerely,
Mary Gilles
