Brown Act violation charges

Dear Council Members:

I'm not sure what is more disturbing, finding out that Ms. Fergusson violated the Brown Act in order to be mayor ...or her claiming to be ignorant of the Brown Act.

What is going on at the Council Level? This is exactly the type of behavior that creates distrust in the city management. What else is not being done legally.... or worse still ignorantly. The climate of the times can not allow such behavior in Menlo Park.

And what is with this rushed meeting to deal with such a serious infraction....?
A public hearing is absolutely necessary to reassure the city of the integrity of those sitting on the Council. Sweeping it under a 'legal' rug will simply not be appropriate... What a shameful way for the new council members to be asked to start off their terms.
