"Emergency Meeting"

 Council members and City Attorney,

Please rescind the call for the so-called "Emergency"meeting of the City Council scheduled for 3 p.m. tomorrow.

This important issue of re-doing the recent council vote for mayor and vice mayor due to a blatant violation of the Brown Act by Council member Fergusson should be legally and properly noticed -- forty-eight hours in advance.

While this is a very important issue; this is no emergency. By declaring this mayor selection re-do an emergency it perverts the law (once again) so that the public is not given proper time to rearrange schedules so as to attend. It is also very suspect that this meeting is being called during work day hours -- 3 p.m. on Friday.

The public trust needs to be restored. This is no way to do it.
