RE: 6th Request for a Hearing to Ban Delineators from Marking Bike Lanes

To Whom it may concern,
As I described in a previous email, the City is committed to bike lanes and improved bicycle flow throughout the City. The City has an approved Bicycle Development Plan, that includes many planned improvements and enhancements to the bicycle network. Based on your specific question, the City is not currently using the types of cones that you described for bike lanes during construction. The cones that you referred to are not specifically banned in the guidelines and requirements used by the City. Although, the City constantly evaluates the best approach to handle all modes of traffic through construction zones using the latest requirements and guidelines. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Chip Taylor
Engineering Services Manager
