According to a Staff Report for the Planning Commission meeting on November 1, 2010, the Draft Specific Plan, Fiscal Impact Analysis and Draft Environmental Impact Reportcity are soon to be released. This could happen just prior to Thanksgiving or at the beginning of December.

The release of these important documents during the holiday season when people are most busy is disturbing. As you know, an EIR is going to be a very substantial document, as will be the Fiscal Impact Analysis. Those of us who are vitally interested in reviewing these documents will not find it easy to give them the attention required with family commitments and travel at this very busy time of year.

I would like to ask that you extend the review period for study of the DEIR and FIA, if release of these documents occurs during the holiday season. I believe that this is a reasonable request in light of the importance of this process and would add to the credibility of the City Council if a time extension is granted.

Thank you for your consideration. Received on Thu Nov 11 2010 - 13:59:30 PST
