Dear Menlo Park Council Persons:
I've lived in the Burgess Pool community for 22 years and swam at the pool before the upgrade and now afterwards. Yes, there was pool, but in the past, it was a physical plant only. There were programs, but without heart in them.
With the addition of Menlo Swim and Sport, Menlo Park now has a world class swim facility that is professionally operated. More important than the physical operation of the pool however, is the attention and care that is given to the community SWIM PROGRAMS that provide an aquatic experience for ALL --elders, handicapped, family, children, and teams. Tim Sheeper has tremendous drive and patience to mentor and encourage the BEST in all these groups; he listens, he negotiates, he makes changes that work for all. Menlo Park is enriched by him and his programs!

You will do good for Menlo Park to renew the Menlo Swim and Sport contract for Burgess Pool.
