Menlo Park City Council

I user you to deny the appeal of the planning commission decision and allow the BevMo store to have a presence in Menlo Park.

The letter just posted by planning commissioner Harry Bims really says most of what should determine your decision.

In addition, please note this even in this small center, there are 3 chain stores in operation, Staples, Lenscrafters and Big 5. We certainly in the past have not kept chain stores out of Menlo Park.To deny BevMo their presence in Menlo Park is certainly not in the best interest of the City, since more sales tax revenue would ensue.

Please don't let the politically powerful interests in Menlo Park, persuade you from making the correct decision and that is supporting the Planniing Commisson to grant the needed use permit.
