BevMo's Use Permit

Dear City Council,

I am writing in opposition to the Use Permit filed by BevMo as Menlo Park does not need to have another liquor store especially at the proposed site on El Camino across from Safeway. I am particularly concerned that it will take business away from Beltramo's, which has served the community since 1882 and offers an extensive array of wine, sake and other liquor that you won't find at BevMo. There is already a BevMo in Redwood City, so denying a Use Permit to a Menlo Park BevMo store will have minimal impact. It would be much more detrimental to the community to have Beltramos', one of the few remaining locally-owned retailers in Menlo Park, go out of business due to the saturated market.

Please don't make the mistake of approving a Use Permit for BevMo at the proposed El Camino location.

Thank you.
