Dear Councilmembers,
Please join other California cities and the American Lung Association of California in opposing Prop. 23, which would paralyze California's landmark legislation to fight global warming. Greenhouse gases are also harmful to human health, so regardless of your position on global warming, these laws have to be protected and allowed to take effect.Clearly the greenhouse gas laws are a stimulus to job growth. By the way, Prop. 26 also deserves equal opposition, since it would let polluters off the hook and make taxpayers responsible for the full cost of cleaning up pollution. It would be a very good step for you to also vote to oppose 26. Gail Sredanovic2161 Ashton Av.Menlo Park, CA94025        Received on Mon Oct 25 2010 - 16:39:46 PDT
