Stop light at Menlo and University

Several times a week I pass the intersection of Menlo and University or park
in the Draeger parking and walk across the street. I think that putting a
light there with left turn signals will cause a frightful traffic jam. It is
too busy an intersection and throughway for that. I think the flags and the
moving of the stop sign helped a great deal and should be enough to make the
intersection more safe. Pedestrians have a responsibility to watch out for
their safety just as drivers should be alert. No place can be totally
accident proof but I really feel that signals could well lead to impatience
and traffic jams which could cause more accidents.
