Sidewalks on Santa Cruz

Dear Council Members,
I do not feel that the survey of only the Santa Cruz Ave residents should be used when voting on a major endeavor for our city of 30,000. In the studies that we recently received, 29% of those polled did not respond. In a survey that only included 60 residents or so, it seems that is a very small group of residents opinions, in which to make this decision. It is feeling like the “bulb out fiasco” we lived through a few years back. Please do not rush to any decisions just to appease a very small vocal group. I do believe sidewalks would be a nice addition to our Santa Cruz Ave, but do not like the idea of having a meandering sidewalk. I think using the existing area to the right of the bike lane makes more sense, would be safer for our residents and would look more visually appealing.
Thank you,
Trish Mitchell
