El Camino Bike Route

Dear Council:

As a MP resident who is an outdoor enthusiast, I urge you to consider
alternate bike traffic routes that do not include reducing the number of
automobile lanes on El Camino Real.

The high number of cars (and already distracted drivers), intersections and
mid-block driveways on El Camino make it a hazardous environment for
increased bicycle traffic.

Alma is a logical location for primary North/South bike traffic flow as it
has far less auto traffic, connects with the Palo Alto bike system and Sand
Hill Road pathway _at_(domainremoved)

We need more efficient automobile traffic flow through Menlo Park.
Sacrificing lanes on El Camino for bicycle traffic will increase congestion
and the probability of higher rates of bicycle / auto collisions.
