RR Crossings

Dear City Council:

I have 2 suggestions concerning quick and inexpensive ways to lower the
chance of another train-car accident until complete rail separation is
achieved.

1. Mount a large, lighted, warning sign near each RR crossing visible by
vehicles approaching from either direction. Some suggested wording:
EXTREME DANGER!
LIFE THREATENING!
DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS
FOR ANY REASON!

2. Provide a short turnout (too short to be a parking space) on each
side of the street that would allow a car caught on the tracks to pull
forward. I realize this won't work in all cases.
