Please do not reduce traffic lanes on El Camino

Dear City Council of Menlo Park,

Please do the right thing for our city and keep six lanes of car traffic on el camino in Menlo Park. Our streets are getting more congested every year so the last thing we want to do is create more congestion by reducing car lanes in our city.

If bicyclists are a concern, please have them take advantage of the new bike path that is proposed along the train tracks. The percentage of bikers using our streets is small in comparison to the number of cars so we should not create an atmosphere of frustration and impatience on the roads because a few people want to ride bikes along our well used main thoroughfare.

We want people to visit MP and spend money here at our shops and restaurants so let's make their visit here a positive one instead of scaring shoppers away by congestion.

Lets have common sense rule the day in Menlo Park!

Thank you.
