Bike lanes on the El Camino

I read that you were considering bike lanes on this busy street and want to voice my opposition to such a plan and ask that you consider using a parallel city street for bike traffic. El Camino is already very congested and will become even more so with the planned future development in both our city and neighboring communities. Driving becomes hazardous and accidents will be inevitable. I live near Santa Cruz and try to avoid it during the times students from Hillview are riding to and from school because of the bike traffic that often veers out into the vehicle space. That situation is an accident waiting to happen but bike lanes on ECR would be even worse. While we want to encourage bike riding it must be safe for all - riders and drivers of vehicles.
