Willow traffic

Gridlock on Willow is getting much worse in the afternoon commute, almost
all spillover traffic from downtown Palo Alto trying to avoid University
Avenue.

My proposed solution - a "no right turn 3-6 PM" sign on northbound
Middlefield to prevent these Palo Alto folks from turning right onto Willow.
Cheap and easy to try, and if it doesn't help, cheap and easy to take it
down. Please run this past the Transportation Department.

In the long run, traffic will continue to get worse without a southern
approach to the Dumbarton Bridge, taking traffic directly from 101 onto the
Dumbarton through Palo Alto without going onto city streets, like the
Bayfront Expressway.
