Founders David Smadbeck, The Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and Cormac Gannon
of The Gasmen, announce the 4th Annual Fairfax Irish Festival Of Music &
Dance aka Fairfax Irish Fleadh (flah), Fri. Oct. 24th., Sat. Oct. 25th. &
Sun. Oct 26th 2014. This is a free event. The festival takes in the small
town of Fairfax situated 22 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fairfax
will once again resemble a town in Ireland, with Irish jigs, reels, dancing
and sweet voices to Fairfax pubs, restaurants, and café's. With the best of
local musical and dancing talents including, The Pure Drops, The Shots,
Greenhouse, Kyle Alden & Susan Spurlock, The Confessionals, The Gas Men,
Comhaltas Irish Set Dancers, Vincy Keehan, The Mild Colonial Boys, Valerie Rose &
Jason Pollack, The Snug, Catherine John & Maria De La Rosa, Brosnan Irish
Dancers, Barry O' Connell, Vinny & Suzanne Cronin, The Gallowglasses, Riggy
Rackin, Saddle The Ocean, Burke Treischmann, Megan McLaughlin, Kate
Brubeck, Bagpipers David Winter and David James. The main music venues will be
The Sleeping Lady Bar & Restaurant, 23 Broadway Blvd, and the Women's Club,
46 Park Rd., Fairfax. There will be music throughout Saturday and in the
evening including an open session, organized Savage Craic at The Women's Club
on Saturday, October 25th from 6 to 8 PM.

there is a Family Irish Music Session at Marin Irish Arts, 11 Belle Avenue,
San Anselmo, sponsored by the Brosnan Irish Dance school 6:30-7:30 on the
1st and 3rd Friday of every month. They are ask a $5 drop-in fee. This is a
good opportunity for kids, and their brave parents or guardians, to learn
Irish dance tunes and to get experience playing in a group. Each week we will
learn a new tune and get to practice previous weeks tunes together. This
session is geared towards beginners through intermediate players of all
