Special meeting of Sept 30th -- only about 26 hours notice to public given

City Council:

I find it disturbing that you choose to evade the 72 hours notice
required by the Brown act for Council meetings, by labeling this
meeting a "Special Meeting", which would only require 24 hours notice.

For an issue as important as the Specific Plan, not giving at least
the usual 72 hours notice for a Council meeting is simply lousy,
although probably legal. I myself went looking for an agenda this
afternoon, (9/29/2014), and could only find a notice that the next
Council meeting would be on Oct 7. In fact I emailed our City
manager to that effect.

Just how many members of the community are not going to attend,
because they do not realize that this "special meeting" is being held.

This is simply ridiculous.
