As a greater share of businesses choose to locate in central cities and
walkable suburban downtown areas, cities are struggling with lower
revenues, and how to lease the existing space or re-purpose for mixed use.

In our area, walkable places with rail access carry a steep premium
suggesting high demand, even as there is also growth in office parks, so
the trend is harder to see.

In key decisions for Menlo Park regarding the M2 area and the Downtown/El
Camino areas, I hope that we get good information and perspective about the
overall market trends, to set the city up for longterm success.
