water - please do the right thing

Dear City Council Members,

Knowing that the Sharon Heights Golf Course uses 60 million gallons of
potable water annually does not make me want to let them drill into our
parks to access groundwater. I trust you all to heed the voices of the
community and discard that idea once and for all.

Even as you put that idea to rest, I urge you to consider introducing new
policies that heavily tax water usage and incentivize water efficiency.
There are some specific suggestions on golf course water efficiency at
http://www.allianceforwaterefficiency.org/golf_course.aspx

It is simply unconscionable for us to be talking about watering a golf
course of ANY kind during a drought.

Please do the right thing: squash the golf course well idea once and for
all, and set a water efficiency/conservation model for the rest of the
country.
