Car Crash on PATH on Alpine past Rural Lane

Please see attached picture taken this June 3 morning. (To the right of the picture is the high embankment above which the main road runs) Although this is in the MP jurisdiction, Motor Cycle Sheriff Schindler took charge of this event.  The driver had to have been impaired to take the PATHWAY that runs alongside (and well below) the main road.  This is but one instance of the very serious dangers along Alpine.  This pathway is extremely dangerous since it is used by high speed cyclists - and now CARS!   The speed limit is way too high and cars consistently use the pedestrian pathway through Stanford Weekend Acres.  This is why we residents were so against the proposed Stanford "trail."  It would have been way too dangerous since vehicles frequently use the existing pedestrian and bike lanes during rush hours.  This "trail" where the accident happened was the brainchild of Stanford's Larry Horton and it is not ADA compliant.  Alpine Road is very
dangerous and it is surprising that only one person has been killed in the recent past.  More than traffic lights at the freeway are needed.
