Irrigation well in Nealon Park

City Council members,

In addition to the very critical "big issues" connected with the Irrigation well question, please consider a smaller, but equally worrisome, concern of mine -- the irrevocable consequence of an eventual overbuilding of Nealon Park.

My yard shares a fence with the park, and I'm pleasantly amazed at how heavily Nealon is used by folks of all ages from the surrounding neighborhoods. And now, with the completion of the high-occupancy housing on El Camino at College, park usage can be expected only to increase as Nealon will become the closest local park for those residents, too.

The installation of the well, no matter how reputedly small the footprint and quiet the machinery, will forever preclude the possibility of using that space for any other purpose - an additional tennis court, a sport court, or a shady picnic area. Why dedicate ANY space at Nealon to non-park usage?
