SHGCC Proposed water project

To the Menlo Park City Council in regards to the Sharon Heights Golf and
Country Club water project.

Nealon Park one of the sites considered for use in this project is an
extremely active park located within the center of downtown Menlo Park
supporting various recreational and educational activities that include an
extremely active Senior Center, a Pre-school, a large children's play
ground, five (5) Tennis courts and a Softball field all available to Menlo
Park residents.

What this Park does not need is for the City to sell off sections either on
top or below the Park to any private corporation tor their specific use that
in actuality provides no value to Menlo Park residents.

The City of Menlo Park should keep this allocated "open space park" for the
use it was and is intended, a place where its recreational and educational
activities are its main and only purpose. Giving or trading away any part of
the Park for any private corporations use is not in my opinion in the best
interest of Menlo Park as well as having to dig up and lay pipe through over
4 miles of residential streets is specifically not in the best interest of
Menlo Park residents.

As such I strongly recommend that the City not approve this request.

Thank You for the opportunity to note my concerns.
