Stand-up to Round-up Spraying

Dear City Council,

Please look at this video of overspraying next to the nurseryschool in
Nealon Park. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r1r1iefpc2km4sk/bdc9vU4uKA

Evidently as far back as 2011 Portola Valley and Woodside have stopped the
use of pesticide/herbicide spraying in their towns. Menlo Park is behind
the times.

Please read this article about the MP Public Works Department's spraying in
a no-spray zone.

And, PLEASE tell the residents of Menlo Park why Menlo Park is not
following the State Regulations for spraying notification. We deserve
better.

I'm sure you will start getting more pressure about this and wouldn't it be
nice if our City simply makes the decision to stop spraying in sensitive
areas including parks where children attend nursery school, rather than
skirt this issue to a study session or sub-committee,

It is simply as easy as making the decision and supporting what it takes to
implement a solution. As for Nealon Park, I'm sure the residents will be
delighted to hold a weeding day at the Park.

Please do the right thing, do it now.
