 Hello,

As many of you know, the Menlo Park City Council approved the idea to
rename the San Mateo Dr. Bike/Ped Bridge in honor of Mike Harding. Palo
Alto also has to agree to this renaming.

I have spoken to staff with the City of Palo Alto and I have been advised
that if you would like to send a letter in support of this, you should send
it to the City Manager, Jim Keene, as well as City Council. Typically the
Council takes on naming local places and spaces and the Historical
Resources Board cannot work independently of the Council.

Palo Alto City Council: city.council_at_(domainremoved)
City Manager, Jim Keene: james.keene_at_(domainremoved)

You can see attached for our letter to Menlo Park and we will be drafting
another for Palo Alto. If the council receives a lot of letters, they will
be motivated to put this on the agenda as Menlo Park did.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Emma
