Thanks for your efforts working towards a way to reduce flood risk from the Pope-Chaucer bridge. A new bridge with larger channel capacity will be an improvement.
However, I would greatly appreciate you doing some additional work to estimate the cost of another option that minimizes the loss of trees.
Especially the heritage size blue gum eucalyptus. I much prefer trees to floodwalls.
