Mr. and Mrs. Walsworth,

Thank you so much for your comments. I will be sure to share this with the project team.

I would also like to share with you an update on the project status, which is currently posted on our webpage and titled "A message from the SFCJPA: Upstream of Hwy. 101 projects going forward."

Thank you again for your interest in the project.

Among the six alternatives presented or discussed in public meetings, our strong preference is for the alternative that replaces the bridge but includes NO FLOODWALLS and results in minimum oak loss. (This is Alternative #3 in the list posted by Save the Oaks.) Both of the alternatives that require construction of floodwalls are completely unacceptable to us, not only because of the aesthetic result (destruction of the creek setting that we love), but also because of the negative impact they would have on property values.

In the information that we have reviewed, we have seen no mention of how this project (40 year and future 100-year) is to be financed. One would think that when comparing the various alternatives, project costs would have been one of the parameters to compare. Is there any information available on that?

Regards,
Richard and Nancy Walsworth
