Pope Chaucer Bridge Creek Alternatives

We are Willows neighborhood residents living about 200 yards downstream from the Chaucer St. bridge--so naturally we're concerned about potential floods.

We request that the Water Authority strongly consider the Save the Oaks proposal for upstream diversion COMBINED WITH bridge renovation (which could include a raised bridge, in our opinion, even though STO has proposed a flat bridge), as an alternative to the two "official" proposals that you're very familiar with. This proposal has the advantage of providing real flood protection while preserving as much of the natural creek setting as is practically possible.

The Authority has asked for public input--now you have it, so we hope it will get serious consideration.

Thank you!
