Subject: Proposed Pope-Chaucer bridge

I have been a resident of Menlo Park for 42 years. I have always appreciated living in this lovely community, and especially the regard for the trees that add so much to our city. I understand that building the proposed new bridge would involve tearing out lots of trees, some of which are very healthy and beautiful. This does not seem to be in keeping with Menlo Park’s priorities. I ask you to look for another alternative that would be a bridge that would protect from flooding, but would not do so much damage to our quality of life.
