Dear Todd,
Thank you for your feedback on the parking and traffic considerations for the new MPCSD school, as well as your thoughts on the trees on the property.
As you probably know, our school board has been getting a lot of feedback from neighbors on all sides of the school both in person and via email on the issues you raise in your message. I just wanted to assure you that we are reading all the comments and will take them into account when reviewing the site plan for the school.
I'm glad you are looking forward to a "great new school". We are looking forward to it as well!
Regards,Joan LambertMPCSD Board President

Hello all, I wanted to send a message regarding some concerns with the current proposals regarding the new O'Conner school site. I feel that the burden of traffic should be shared by Elliott Dr. and Oak Ct. I only ask for a fair and safe traffic flow. People from both streets will make use of the school and having one street carry the full burden as it has in the past seems unfair. I live on Elliott Dr. and have seen the current traffic situation with the German American School. The new school will additionally include school buses more foot traffic and bikes. Which is fine. It is already a challenge for large buses and vehicles to make the tight turn on Elliott. Allowing vehicles to enter from Oak and exit Elliott seems like a good option. Also this would create a safer one way flow for large vehicles. Having no-parking during drop off time would also help keep the street open and safer for pedestrians, bikes and two way car flow. It would be great to keep the some of the large trees which really help distinguish the street and keep the natural feel to the school. We all look forward to a great new school and hope you consider these comments when making your final decision. Thanks for listening! Todd Rosenthal 227 Elliott Dr.
