TO: The Mayor

FROM: Tom Cochran, CEO and Executive Director

Included at the bottom of this email is a letter drafted by Conference President and Mesa Mayor Scott Smith and the Co-chairs of our Immigration Reform Task Force, Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas and Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait which urges the House of Representatives to consider immigration reform legislation expeditiously. They have asked me to send it to you and invite you to co-sign the letter.

This letter is entirely consistent with Conference of Mayors immigration reform policy. Its purpose is to demonstrate that immigration reform is supported by mayors regardless of party, from cities large and small, suburban and urban, from across the nation.

Please go to http://usmayors.org/houseimmigrationletter<http://usmayors.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e687bec86211c5944ffd74f55&id=36b1f6d895&e=83b178a429> to join the Conference's leaders on this issue and sign the letter and demonstrate to the House of Representative the strong commitment of the nation's mayors to prompt action on immigration reform legislation.

If you need any further information on this, please contact our Director of Public Safety, Laura DeKoven Waxman, who staffs our Immigration Reform Task Force, at lwaxman_at_(domainremoved)
