3rd Track Option

Dear City Council Members:

Leave things as they are, please. There is nothing virtuous about change, and the following is one we do not need or want.

Our 2-track policy, which is appropriate for Menlo Park, should stay in place, with no 3-track option added.

As dollars often do, they appear to be influencing your decision to put the 3rd rail option to a vote. Why not apply for $750,000 if it's available to you, whether or not another grade separation study makes sense? The TA is holding you hostage with the demand to add the passing rail to receive funds.

There is no need for a rail for passing in this area. If you go along with the TA, you will be clearly sending a message to all that you support the high speed rail system, which, as you know, most of your constituents oppose.
