Dear Mayor, City Council Members and City Clerk, I wanted to formally thank you for reappointing me to the Mosquito and Vector Control.   Yesterday, we elected our new Board Officers and the air at the district was positive and optimistic. Darkness is slowly leaving the district.  Mayor Mueller, I asked our Director of Operations about your question regarding  outreaching children in elementary schools.  The answer is yes.  The District targets Science Fairs involving 5th to 7th grade students.  Generally, several field technicians put up a booth where students can stop by to learn about Entomology, Mosquito and Vector Control.  On occasion, the District is asked by the schools to present in a class or the school auditorium.    Moving forward, I would like to know when you would like me to give you another presentation.  March or April would be fine with me.  Let me know a date that is best for you.  More importantly, I would like you to tell me if there is anything specific you would like to learn.  I will definitely give you an update about Aedes aegypti and if you like, I will talk about our chemicals, compounds and other natural ways we use to eradicate Mosquitoes and Larvae. I will also give you the past 3 mosquito activity in San Mateo County. Thank you, Valentina Cogoni, Trustee 650 223-4788
