Please call or e-mail me today with the location and availability of the
petition which was signed by residents who were opposed to the subject
tunnel exiting at Burgess Drive.
The staff and expensive consultant's design to take it a little farther south was rejected by a very confused transportation commission at its last meeting. A majority voted to return it to that corner opposite condos and apartments, through or under a building not owned by the city and over the objections of the resident stakeholders.
Chip told me to stay on top of it because it will be coming to council although it appeared to have been shelved at the Bicycle Commission meeting attended by Mayor Heyward Robinson, and by Steve Schmidt who would prefer that it be located at Willow to Cambridge.
We need a copy of this and I understand that it should be filed with the City Clerk who has no knowledge of it.
I'll be home all day today and would like to pick up the copy tomorrow, Tuesday.
You were not at present on the two visits I made to City Hall and messages have not been returned.
