I urge you to balance the budget by cutting city costs, not by raising the
utility tax. It's time to rein in huge unfunded liabilities for pension and
reitree health care. Nobody in the private sector gets these kinds of
benefits any more, and we can't afford to do it. And you could save
significant amounts of money if you privatize the city-run child care
center!
