Stanford appears to have been poisoning ground squirrels and probably a whole lot of other wildlife. There are piles of turquoise pellets (presumably warfarin) lying on the ground at Rural Lane (off alpine road near the creek) and at other places on the golf course within the jurisdictions of Menlo Park, Palo Alto and the Counties of San Mateo and Santa Clara. I took samples. I doubt that Stanford got permits and further doubt that they got permits in all jurisdictions affected. Leaving poison (if that is what it is) out in the open especially near the creek, is asinine. It is a hazard to all wildlife and potentially to the creek. I would hope that someone in one of your jurisdictions gives a damn. Janet Davis, Alpine Road, Menlo Park.
