Dear City Council,

I am just sending you the email that I sent to Katrina Whiteaker in regards to the service I received at the Onettha Harris Community center from Bridget Matheson. I am also thinking of taking legal action due to the fact the Bridget altered my check so that she could cover herself because in all honesty she made the mistake. Now my son has no camp and I had to alter my schedule because of the carelessness of Bridget and other staff members at the Onettha Harris Community Center. I really just want you to be aware of what's going on over there because I am sure that I am not the only one this has happen to.

Katrina Whiteaker,

I am sending you this email because I am very dissatisfied with the way my son and I and where treated at the Onetta Harris Community Center in Menlo Park. Let me start by saying that my son really enjoyed the week he had you the Junior Jamboree camp last week.

Here is where the problem lies, on Monday June 23rd I drop my son off for his first day of camp and that went well. When I go to pick him I attempt to sign him up for weeks 2-5 and attempted to make a payment with my credit card and Sandra act as if she didn't know how to take a credit card payment so I asked her two times if it was ok if it was ok if I paid cash on Monday and she said that was fine. I specifically asked her if my son would have a space available for the weeks I signed him up for and she assured me yes he would. So when I pick my son up on Friday I wrote a check for $95 dollars for the remainder of the weeks and left and went on to enjoy my weekend. Today at 1:33 pm I receive a text message from my God Mother stating that Kyshawn is not enrolled in weeks 3 and 4 and I also receive a voice message from Ire asking me about some tshirts that I have purchased. When I give her a call back in regards to the camp situation she told me to that Bridget had put on my check that I was signing up weeks 5 and 6 and purchases two tshirts. and I explained to her that I had signed up for weeks 2-5 and she said that she doesn't know what happen but week to was full and to come and give her a check for $75, so I take off work and come down there to pay the $75 dollars and I talk to Sandra again and she says that the weeks are full except for 5 and 6 and that I should talk to Bridget. So when I talk to Bridget all she can tell me is that there was a misunderstanding and that there is no space available for my son until the 5Th and 6Th week of camp. She kept telling me that I should have looked at the sign that was up on Friday stating that the camp was full, I seen the sign I really didn't think it would apply to me because I signed up on Monday (lets keep in mind that Bridget is the one that took my check for $95 and gave me a receipt not mentioning anything about the camp being full). Now my son is very sad saying that he wants to go to camp with his new friends I have to tell him that he can't go to camp anymore because the staff at the Onettha Harris Community Center are very unorganized and very Unprofessional. Please contact me as soon as you can to address the Issue. You can reach me by phone at 650-430-3743 or email me at egreen@provident.com or reply to this email erica_green_1979@yahoo.com

I would like a reply very soon.   Received on Tue Jul 1 08:21:06 2008
