During the past two weeks I have made four or five telephone calls,
including a call to the City Manager's office, to report a situation
involving bicycle safety that needs attention and may be a liability
to the City. In spite of my repeated efforts, I have yet to receive a
telephone call from the City of Menlo Park. That the City would
ignore a person trying to communicate a bicycle safety issue reflects
poorly on the City and indicates that the concerns of citizens in
some situations do not warrant a response from the City.
