Dear City Council Members,
I am writing in regard to tonight's study session for 389 El Camino. As a concerned neighbor, I am surprised at the developer's lack of judgement in working with our neighborhood. The proposed project is outrageously tall, dense, and overwhelming. If I were to propose something that was 175% FAR and double the height limit for my residential lot just down the street, I would be laughed out of the Planning Department. Why are developers given preferential treatment? Please ask the developer to adhere to the zoning code, just like everyone else. And please don't entertain the idea of rezoning this lot to double the density of the street, add more children to our already overcrowded school sites, and allow 60 foot tall buildings in an existing residential neighborhood.
Sincerely,
Karen Zak
