The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and San Mateo County Human Services Agency is pleased to invite you to a very special event this Thursday, May 8, 2008 - the Grand-Orange Emancipated Foster Youth Open House - program at 11 am and tours from 1 to 5 pm, 701 Grand Avenue South San Francisco. Every year there are more than 400 children in San Mateo County's foster care system. At age 18, many foster youth are unable to find permanent housing. The Grand-Orange triplex is the first of three housing ventures initiated by the Board of Supervisors to assist foster youth to transition successfully to independent living. Grand-Orange will provide housing for 8 San Mateo County youth. Hope you are able to drop-by.
