VIDEO GAMES MYST again this year as everybody who knew anything about anything was off playing basketball or soccer or even doing a good job at the office building a career portfolio of important accomplishments.
For those who missed it, here's an official invitation to join "valleylist network NING"
For those who joined already let's have fun with the anti-people from silicon valley who really are almost entirely dependent on high tech to get their work accomplished each and every day.

FOOD is a real problem in San Jose. The food is so bad that even the police complain. I've been complaining myself about food in this area for more than a year. The best solution is to do a "food" version of "valleylist" - - version 19.0 5. Monday 12.2008 - - "high tech food" . Maybe not recipes most likely great food places and your favorite restaurants you would include in "valleylist" important food places. Include cafes coffee shops and little out of the way places that have not yet been gobbled up by the big companies. As far as where to shop for high tech food if it's not the very expensive Zanotto's then I'm stuck with Safeway or Walgreens which pale in comparison to real 21st century food which can be found at places like A.G. Ferrari and DeLessio's.
If it were up to me all the food in San Jose would all come from Palo Alto or Santa Clara or some undisclosed location in Santa Clara County. All of silicon valley has succumbed to the "eat in or dine out at a fast food restaurant" syndrome.
As far as food - - "valleylist" will unofficially invite people to swing by the biblioteca latino americana to meet the "valleylist" group.

PRO BUSINESS or anti-business remains the question. Here in ever expanding San Jose business is difficult and somewhat mysterious. Our new Mayor Chuck Reed has yet to clearly state his position on why the self-appointed capital of silicon valley has no public policy or programs or initiative that are specifically pro-business. The capital of silicon valley needs to be as pro-business as it is pro-sharks.
Instead of a bunch of bureaucratic boards and weird people what's needed is clear and concise new push on this very subject - - what the city of San Jose will do for business in the city and elsewhere to really create new energy for the "capital of silicon valley. Here's what they get these days - - a list of city services.
The phenomenal burn on small business in San Jose recent is all about how to come up with a city-wide - -
it's obvious that Mayor Reed and his group of people need to change from the odd interest in trouble to a pro-business political solution.
Still need Mayor Chuck Reed to put business first and to really convince people that San Jose the capital of silicon valley is a pro-business city. otherwise Sunnyvale or Santa Clara is a good choice for the real capital of silicon valley.
mayor of the week - - yet again Mayor Chuck is putting green energy ahead of pro-business policies and investments.
The problems continue to be very high overhead for small businesses a lack of a cohesive local business neighborhood concept. City Council people like Nora Campos and Sam Liccardo are very serious about criminal and gang related problems and planned expansion of the downtown convention center and hotel complex. Other complaints include a lack of investment from the city of San Jose itself in the development a new small business initiative. Most of the downtown area and nearby areas are very old and run down.Urban blight is a serious problem. Very often business investment programs provide the impetus to create new neighborhoods that support the local people in the form of local merchants and small business.
SANTA CLARA COUNTY - - somebody wants to solve a prisoner of war fantasy. Try to keep somebody alone and torture them into giving up the stuff in life that matters most. Give up your family your job your home your friends your favorite foods for example. They claim it was an important experimental new program on how to make life more efficient like re-engineering all of society to be more productive. Yet they were wrong. It was initiated apparently by somebody who wanted to get people to eliminate other people - - like can't I get the guy at the corner store to eliminate my former teacher at the military academy.
It is a very bad idea however it is extremely effective in some instances. Santa Clara County had to step up to an enforcement situation and have the pseudo-nazi torture chamber fantasy project - - which would have been a good video game concept - - shut down.
This version of "est" is currently not legal and it will never be legal. The concept is this - - I will keep you alone and torture you into a state of terror where you will "give it up" just to make the pain stop.
The next leap of faith is even weirder - - and thereby someday I will make it legal to steal from people under this pretense - - don't stay around the wrong people or they will torture you and force you to give it up.
How's that for an extra week in downtown San Jose ?

What's missing lately is a lot of real technological breakthroughs and special "first in line to purchase" scheduled releases.
