Seana O'Shaughnessy, Exec Director of Rebuilding Together, invites Menlo Park residents and businesses to participate in the following projects. Hope to see you there!
Councilwoman, Menlo Park
Dear Menlo Park City Leaders,
On Saturday, April 26, 2008 Rebuilding Together Peninsula will be rehabilitating 55 homes and 19 community facilities throughout the Peninsula. Eight of these homes and three community facilities are located in Menlo Park. As you know, through community donations of supplies, materials and labor, RTP leverages every dollar donated into at least five dollars of home repairs and modifications for homeowners in need.
We invite you to join us on Saturday, April 26 - for an hour or for the whole day between 9am - 3pm - to visit with local constituents while you swing a hammer or wield a paint brush on National Rebuilding Day. By participating in one or more of our rebuilds, you can help RTP tell its story and gain media exposure for this worthy cause. Your participation will send the important message that if we all pitch in, we can eliminate substandard housing and preserve affordable homeownership.
The following companies have sponsored projects in Menlo Park: Cooley Godward Kronish, Commercial Casework, Menlo Business Park / Tarlton Properties, Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, DLA Piper, BKF Engineers, Heller Erhman, Menlo Park Kiwanis, Watry, Stanford School of Medicine, and Electronic Arts.
Please feel free to stop by any of the following sites. When you arrive on site, please make sure and introduce yourself to the Volunteer Captain who will be able to show you around the project.
