Council, you must not be aware ! First of all, Prevailing Interest rates are at the lowest levels in years ! Secondly, the downtown area is in great need of more Parking ! Therefore you can and should finance new Parking structures for Downtown ! The City has allowed substantial new development in the Downtown area, BUT NO NEW FEEDER ROADS to allow access and egress from the area ! NOT SMART, COUNCIL ! THE NET EFFECT IS OVERCROWDING AND GRIDLOCK ! I had to spend 25 minutes last Thursday looking for a Parking space at 11:30 A.M. and then I was so squeezed in to the spot, I received a Parking Ticket. As the TV series used to say "THIS IS BUT ONE STORY IN THE CITY". It is time you (that's you, Betsy Nash) get off of your NO- GROWTH BANDWAGON ! THE CITY SHOULD FUND & BUILD TWO PARKING GARAGES !
