Dear City of Menlo Park City Council Members,

This is Michael Hoff in Menlo Park Belle Haven neighborhood.

I am writing to express public support for the City of Menlo Park to please accept and move forward with the generous FaceBook (FB) offer for building a new Onetta Harris Community Center and branch library complex as soon as feasible.

The Belle Haven community is benefiting with our FB neighbor. Local property values have grown at double digit rates and the neighborhood infrastructure continues to improve.

We still need additional support. There are neighborhood growing pains with FB traffic and Dumbarton bridge corridor access. However, I do not support withholding ANY of the FB development activities or other neighborhood development activity as the City of Menlo Park and FB partner to address the exiting challenges such as traffic. [An elevated bridge corridor from Marsh road to the Dumbarton bridge with limited access through Belle Haven Neighborhood and Willow road will resolve many of the local traffic issues; possibly include a dedicated FB bus only exit lane].

My hopes are that the City of Menlo Park will move forward expeditiously with a new Onetta Harris Community Center and branch library with this generous FB offer.

Thank you for your consideration.

Michael Hoff
