apology

Dear Council Members, Mr. Steffens, and Mr. McClure,

I want to apologize for the comments made by Mr. Rollins when he clearly mistakenly cc'd you on an email. The problem is not in that he mistakenly cc'd you, but in his unwillingness to recognize your good faith efforts to address the issues we raised. He is a good person and I have spoken to him. I am obviously not his keeper and he will have to make his peace with you, but I am embarrassed for him. I know he respects your service to the community. I ask you to be generous in your forgiveness. We all make mistakes.

This should not be about personalities and I have made that clear to him. It distracts from the larger issue and injects vitriol where it has no place.

Again, please accept my apologies on his behalf.
